so regular humans will die, demon tribe will have 0 problem, guessing beastfolk will vary. Good against anything other than spooky a** demon tribe so yeah keep using it

Maybe do like fireworks and have the ball explode in their faces.  Not exactly easy to make however comapred to an iron ball.

@Choco Drifter did a fantastic sequence about the psychology of facing down a matchlock squad for the first time in battle for troops that have no experience with it. Literally stop their charge from the shock alone.
