Is the author stupid? In a tower where a mere 20% of people survive, there would be no light heartedness, no frivolity among those survivors. They would not be able to laugh about their memories on live TV. It would have been traumatizing. And, anyone who survived but was able to laugh about it afterwards would have to be fuc**** crazy and definitely not the kind of people you'd want to put on tv
