@Depressed af He is happy for Yuri but he feels mad towards Yuri because Yuri has stuff he doesn't. It's a normal human thing called jealousy that most people experience due to someone having something better than them. They aren't assh**** they just have people who are better around them and most likely live in a toxic household or are around toxic people or just toxic in general. I see where you're getting at but in his POV he has insane jealousy due to the fact Yuri's life is like a fantasy everyone wants which is normal, I envy that life.
