I dont see any the big mistake that the father did other than he did not communicate with his daughter. But you guys should understand there must be a reason. Furthermore, even the emperor himself said that he kept the father on leash which make the father who love his daughter the most to act as cold hearted. But if you guys still dont understand nevermind you guys really dont have an empathy.
