idk i feel like this ruined it for like how did he lose to somebody weaker than him because he's a "normal person" if she was suppose to be the strongest why did he kill the demon lord and not her and now he needs al help to kill her? idk it just seems out of everything that's been good about this story so far sure he doesn't want to kill people but the thousands he's kill that doesn't make him a "normal person" L part of the stor

Because he was massively abused as a kid to do it. Mentally, emotionally, physically, and magically tortured because he had a tie to the sword. His nature is not violent.
Outright he could kill her. But he is hesitating to since he is no longer forced/required too and wants away from it.
@Fralios kinda falls apart considering all those he killed beforehand during this fight.
