@Luna Oh, this story is certainly geared towards YA when it comes to certain aspects for sure.
That being said you weren't talking about vampires originally, just that it was weird adults were finding joy in face painting or teddybears. Unless I'm mistaken?
I promise you this is not just a teenager thing.
I'm well beyond teenage years and I still love doing fun stuff like this. I used to worry about this kind of thing when I was younger too, but I find that as I get older I don't really care if other people think my interests or likes are childish.
In the end it has nothing to do with being "too old" just what your preferences are.
