If the smell of blood is what restores consciousness then why don't the zombies that feed on live humans regain consciousness. In case of mc he was able to retain consciousness due to having taken medicine whereas in case of his friends,it was prolonged exposure to blood smell but how on earth did the doctor immediately become conscious after smelling blood? Also, what fuels the body of the mc? He has been doing superhuman actions with simply a pack of blood which shouldn't even have enough energy for regular physical activities.
