@Infinite_years he's already at least a teenager or a young adult when the others are still kids. So even though he's not exactly old enough to be a father, he could be considered a father figure.

We also don't know his age before the isekai so maybe he sees himself as a generation above them.

@Aleccz He apparently was in a position to "pay-to-win", as he referred to supplying the protagonist with goodies earlier. So that means either a family with money or he's worked long enough to have a good income.
