Sua was no different from an obstacle blocking Mizi's growth. She always made Mizi dream, giving her faith in a good ending. Sua's protection left Mizi entirely unprepared to maintain her composure in this situation. Listening to Mizi's sounds of innocence was Sua's only means of escape, which perhaps was the reason for this obsession. In the end, Mizi collapsed at her first encounter with loss and her world was desolated. Sua was the reason Mizi couldn't grow out of her ignorance. She held the truth about Alien Stage deep in her heart. She made sure Mizi was never hurt by the things around her, in attempt to protect the innocence that made both of them happy. Sua did this knowing it would make it hard for Mizi to confront death. And while this type of love was possessive, it wasn't malicious.

"I didn't think I would do this either. To think that those words would come back to haunt me. I should've been kinder. But my situation is better than hers, because I know you won't care that much about me. Still, let me say this, just in case. Thank you for being the victim of my shallow emotions."
