Him almost dying and the other one realizing he loves him is a cliche that should die ... that's some lazy writing. Would've love to see a real redemption for once instead of another Stockholm Syndrome story. Any recommendations?

Just imagine he lived and they would be lovey dovey... what a fuc*** up story that would be huh? oh but on the other hand we have roses and champagne which is a similar fuc*** up story with the lovey dovey ending lol
