@Ƒuͥjoͣsͫhi Duke is searching for her but he didn't want to tell Riella yet because even if the body presented wasn't her child, the child could have still died already so rather than giving her false hope of the child being alive only to result in finding out again that she died elsewhere and causing her to experience her child dying twice, he's taking the route of finding the child first to spare her the grief
