@K I'm really conflicted with this. Actual trouples are a rare item in bl, so I don't think it'd be cowardly if Author decided to go that way. Also, even though the hints of deranged Jo are so there, he's mostly lovely and caring and he'd be super clingy and touchy if he wasn't afraid. And that's everything TJ is (in an un-annoying way)when he's with Ian, so in that aspect Ian's the problem, not Jo lol.
But despite that, I don't think it's gonna work. I know there are more scenarios in which Ian and TJ don't end together than there are in which they do, but even if Ian ends up with Jo, there's not realistic way in which he can tear TJ off himself, and I'll defend that as facts. So the three of them would feel completely unbalanced. Even if Ian actually falls in love with Jo as well, he will never be at the same level of everything Ian and TJ shared, so it'd be unsatisfying for both TJIan and JoIan supporters. It'd be shi***, not cowardly imo haha
