This is a little later in the novel : The artificial gravitational field thats protecting the humans will begin to fail and the monsters will begin to attack the humans and the population drastically declines and resources almost run out, An Zhe (the little mushroom) finally steals back his spore and runs away to the wilderness and Lu Feng (the ml) also goes into the wilderness for a mission but his aircraft crashes and luckily An Zhe finds him before the aircraft explodes, they stay in the wilderness for a while and An Zhe gets sick because his spore has to leave his body because its grown enough , Lu Feng has to go back and they kiss before Lu feng goes back to the base. 
An Zhe finds another base that has half human- half creatures that have gained full conciousness, they treat An Zhe well and they eventually find a way to fix the artificial gravitational field and An Zhe sacrifices himself, Lu Feng loses it (well, almost) but An Zhe comes back fine and healthy! 
In the extras, they go to find An Ze' body (the human that An Zhe got the form of) under An Zhe's wish
A little extra spoiler: Lu Feng's mom is like half monster and she transformed into a bee and ran away later in the novel with a small girl you'll find out about later in the manhua
