Couple theories......
1. The original Master died and he's using Mc as a backup, because ml could forget about him.
2. MC is the master but like ml said he forgot.
3. There was no master and Ml was looking for love with that spell and MC was his match.
4. MC concert up Ml and is now writing the story that want on hiatus.
