@Agentin777 i asked the same and someone repondedTo make it simple it was a plot from her father to make sure she would not be married in the royal family. So the father and mother played a role, but they didn't tell anything to any other people involved in order to avoid leaks. The brother acted like his parents without understanding the truth.
Alas for the father, the daughter have too much qualities and could not become flawed as he desired. That flaw(s) he hoped to create would make his daughter be unworthy of joining the royal family or one of their pa** (marquess or count).
