Oriath is dominated by the Templar Order, worshiping a deity of light and justice known as Innocence. The highest authority is the High Templar (such as Dominus) , who rules through fear, strict martial law, and the Ebon Legion. Unlike the ruined continent of Wraeclast, which was the seat of the ancient Eternal Empire, Oriath was established as a surviving imperial outpost to keep the population compliant, the Templars regularly hold purges, exiling anyone who threatens their dogma.
