Not really.. he just wanted to be strong thats why he joined hands with the opps.
The opps just used him bc he had proximity to power so he could fly under the radar.
After he opened the gates in previous timeline he was fuc*** over.
In this TL when MC fuc*** him up is when he was possessed bc he was dying and the opps just wanted to see who is messing with them.
They literally laughed at him when he was dying.
