@Shreya I agree many authors romanticize toxic behaviour with no further repercussion... they end up together anyways. A character doing bare minimum is considered green flag and is kept on the pedestal. It's not a problem till people know it's not healthy or good but, it does become a problem when people start associating that with their real life and do nothing about getting out of the abuse. Though these stories have disclaimers to them, the stories itself have nothing much to it other than it being an "enemies to lovers abusive" trope with the same repetitive storyline. A highschool galmorized item that people look for in the media, in general. Even the ones that are tagged "fluffy" don't have a very logical aspect. I suggest you read, form of sympathy, it consists of heavy subjects but is very realistic and covers a heck lot of problem till existing in society (it's a slow burn btw and yes it just have ra** and dubcon... pretty depressing book in general)
