not most probably. Its just that this family is messed up. Haven't you seen the brothers already.
I'm guessing by the reaction of the secretary of the chairman .. he is the one who caused it [resentment of going to jail for him, being tired of being sidekick type of rebellion]. It would be interesting if it is so, since Doojun who is now warming up to the family he resented, will see a reflection in him of his past feelings.
I hope the author doesn't dissappoint like the live-action.

I faintly remember that in live-action, it was the Grandma, because she was upset about the succession order not being done according to traditional korean values, when eldest son has more share. However in Live-Action, Grandma was introduced from the start, and played a decent role.
Here in comic, the Grandma wasn't even introduced yet, afaik .. so I'm guessing most probably its not her.

Well at first i thought the live-action was making up some bs in order to finish stuff up but yeah they did but well they fuc*** up ending cause they can't do it or dont wanna make it longer than 1 season. But apparently they did follow the novel except for fl and ml's cousin having unnecessary screen time. Yeah the grandma did it. Ml will find out afterwards actually the granpa finds out first keeps it for himself until later on.
@Kuroneko yeah it is indeed from the novel not live action.
