@Snow_Lotus having second wife doesn't related to your noble rank. You can have it if you want even merchant have multiple wife

@Infinite_years i haven't seen a manga where a merchant have multiples wifes, unless said merchant was also a noble. but yes @Snow_Lotus practically any noble of any rank can have multiple wifes, though the 2nd one and onwards are never in public view unless they are royalty.

@LofiLoli  yeah I guess thats true they only really fight for first and seccond wife

@Snow_Lotus I don't think his standing is high enough to marry the daughter of a ducal family.
