@StoppingCorpses the things they were discussing are things that happened in the past, the last panel where he is going to meet jopheus ( the shop owner) sylhan asks him if someone else is going to be there. i’m sure the next chapter will start with that character’s introduction. i hope i helped you🙂‍↕️

@fujoshi123 no, Anuka is one of his retainers who died. This chapter is the start of a mini arc where Gjord isn't really paying Slan enough attention, and Slan ends up taking TOO MUCH of his new medicine without realizing it would affect his memory. This is kind of like what the Glenburgs were doing to Slan, overdosing him on his medicine to f*k with his memories, but this time Slan is doing it himself by accident.

@sunnynaut noOOOooOo I figured this was the present because the look that Gjord gave him was like "oh s*t his memories are messed up again " so this is a time skip and thats them talking about the past. I remember the shop owner now, the hunchback right?  I was dreading this 😭 I don't want him to forget Gjord again 

@StoppingCorpses yes its in the present. Gjord figures out what's happening but he's so happy to have "old" Slan back (bc he forgot even what was done to him) that he ignores it until the wizard comes back and rips him a new one, cause he figures it out in an instant.

@fujoshi123 lol it's not a big deal imo, lots of names that have passed through, and i think the only mention of Anuka was when Slan was checking on his previous subordinates when Lysbet was dying. I just know bc I read the novel and know where we are in the general story.
