You assume he is the final boss. If he falls now the WG will go haywire and a war will erupt, since most of the gorosei will fall with him.

@Ezgi this is the only anime where potential main villian face got revealed after 8 year of introduction and therea only 3 arc left and you are saying this is early
@Master Dokja i'm not saying it should take 20 years, i'm saying that i thought a fight with imu would be like a final war/fight, there is few ways oda can go with this, because if this is not the final war how are we gonna get rid of him? is it gonna be too easy to fight? or we gonna run away? or plot will find a way for us to survive? or he really is not the final boss? i'm just confused how it will go

The way things are, everyone would have to team up and fight his forces.
We have 4 emperors, the revolutionary army and the WG. That is 6 forces of which none are allies. Not to mention the WG is the source of order in the world. If it were to lose its phantom leader and all the high command it will cause chaos! This is the last arc so this will be the optimal time for Imu to fall!
