Perez’s mother really used his lover for her to avenge her death pepe sticker In the next chapter
Spoiler!
Standing alone in the ruined palace, Perez quietly wondered if his mother was finally satisfied now that he had succeeded. At that moment, Tia suddenly arrived. She had guessed he would come there. Instead of focusing on the painful memories, she reminded him that this place also held happy memories for them. It was where they first met and where they had shared chocolate cookies as children. She told Perez that he should be proud of surviving everything and reaching this point. She encouraged him to stop living for revenge or for other people and finally live for himself. Overcome with emotion, Perez hugged Tia tightly and thanked her. Although he only said "thank you," he silently decided that from now on he would live for her and for their future together. Because of Tia's words, he also changed his earlier decision. Instead of destroying the old palace, he decided to rebuild it because it had become a place filled with their shared memories. Three days later, Tia was happily busy taking control of the Angenas family's wealth. She enjoyed searching through their mansions for hidden jewels, valuables, and secret assets to recover as much money as possible. Her maid laughed at how excited she was about the work.

While leaving, Tia met Crenny, who had just returned from the academy. He had grown much taller, more mature, and was doing far better than in her previous life. They happily planned to have dinner together that evening, and Crenny said he had a gift for her. As Tia almost slipped on the stairs, Crenny quickly caught her hand to keep her from falling. At that exact moment, Perez arrived. Seeing another young man holding Tia's hand, he immediately became jealous and approached with a cold, intimidating expression. Poor Crenny became so frightened that he could barely speak. Tia quickly stopped Perez and reminded him that this was Crenny, whom he had met years ago as a child. After looking carefully, Perez finally recognized him and awkwardly apologized, explaining that Crenny had changed so much that he had not recognized him. Tia teased Perez for never paying attention to other people, and Perez simply replied that he only paid attention to Tia, leaving her embarrassed. Crenny innocently smiled and said that Perez and Tia looked perfect standing together because one was the future Emperor while the other was the future head of the Lombardi family. Perez complimented Crenny's intelligence after hearing about his excellent academy results. As Perez and Tia prepared to leave for the Angenas mansion, Crenny warned Tia not to work too hard. He understood that dealing with the Angenas family's collapse was not only about collecting money but also about handling the many noble families connected to them. Some wanted their money back, while others wanted to hide their ties to the Angenas family. Tia was impressed that Crenny understood such complicated political matters. They agreed to continue talking over dinner, and Tia left, smiling proudly as she watched how much Crenny had grown.
Shannanet talks to her father after Tia leaves for the Imperial Palace. She asks why the Emperor gave Tia the job of handling the Angenas family's downfall. She thinks it is strange because the Emperor has always been careful of the growing power of the Lombardi family. Grandfather explains that the Emperor did it because of Perez. By making Tia, the future head of Lombardi, handle this important matter, everyone will stop looking down on her because of her mother's background and fully accept her as the true successor of Lombardi. Shannanet is unhappy with this decision. She says she wishes Tia could have everything like becoming the head of Lombardi while also staying with the man she loves. She knows Tia and Perez truly love each other, but Tia has already decided to give up that love for the sake of her family. Grandfather realizes that he has been taking Tia's sacrifice for granted. He begins thinking about his own life. He remembers that he always put Lombardi before everything else. Because of that, he was not a good father to his children and was not there enough for his wife when she became ill. He admits that if he could live his life again, he would choose differently. Instead of sacrificing everything for the family, he would try to keep both his family and his loved ones. He decides that he does not want Tia to repeat his mistakes.

Spoiler!
Tia checks on Clerivan's investigation into the Angenas family's finances. Clerivan says the work is going well, but the family's debts are much larger than expected. He shows Tia many new debt papers that were discovered. Some of them are unfair agreements where Angenas borrowed money from their own vassal families without setting a repayment date or interest. The contracts even say Angenas would not be responsible if they failed to repay the money. It is obvious they took advantage of their own people. Clerivan asks if he can speak to Tia privately another day because he has something important to tell her. Tia notices that he seems unusually nervous. Since he is not ready to explain, she agrees to wait. Soon after, however, Clerivan returns and says another new problem has appeared. At the Imperial Palace, officials report to Perez that even if they sell all of the Angenas family's land, buildings, money, and other property, it still will not be enough to pay all their debts. Perez asks whether they should also seize the property of the Angenas vassal families, but the officials hesitate because doing so would anger many noble families. One official asks whether they should give priority to the Pellet Company, since it is one of the creditors and is connected to Lombardi. Perez calmly replies that they should simply follow whatever Tia, the deputy head of Lombardi, decides. At that moment, Tia suddenly enters Perez's office looking serious because she has something important to discuss. Back at the Lombardi mansion, grandfather is still worried about Tia. Shannanet comforts him by saying that Tia and Perez will continue meeting while dealing with the Angenas case. However, she also points out that if Perez becomes Emperor, another woman will eventually become Crown Princess and stand beside him, while Tia will only be able to watch from a distance. The thought breaks grandfather's heart. Even so, Shannanet believes Tia and Perez will find their own solution.

Grandfather smiles, trusting his granddaughter completely. He decides that instead of only worrying, the family should help Tia however they can. He asks Shannanet to send Vieze and Roulier to his office. Meanwhile Tia went to Perez's office with Clerivan because she wanted to discuss the money that the Imperial Family owed after the fall of the Empress and the Angenas family. Everyone in the office became nervous because Tia was now one of the most powerful people in the empire. Even though Perez would soon become Crown Prince, Tia's position as Deputy Head of the Lombardi family gave her great influence. After reading the financial records, Tia firmly said that the Imperial Family should use its reserve funds to repay the debt. She argued that the Imperial Family was responsible because they had allowed the Empress and the Angenas family to misuse their power. The administrators were shocked that she spoke so directly to Perez, but he calmly accepted her decision and agreed to release the reserve money. A young administrator named Spio objected. He felt it was unfair because the Pellet Company, which belonged to Tia, would gain a lot from the repayment. Instead of getting angry, Tia asked him to explain his opinion properly. Although he was nervous, Spio honestly said what he thought. Tia then revealed her full plan. The Pellet Company would accept only half of the money it was owed. Instead of taking the rest in cash, it would receive shares and business rights from the Durac Merchant Guild, including the Coroy Textiles business. This would allow the company to continue production, while the Imperial Family could use more money to repay other noble families. Everyone realized that Tia had found a solution that benefited both the empire and the nobles.

@Introvert Oh... Crenny's a big boy now huh? Also, if I were going through all of them mansions, I'd break the walls down just in case you got that hidden cash in the walls tbh.

Spoiler!
Before leaving, Tia praised Spio. She warned him not to act rashly but also complimented him for having the courage to speak honestly. After she left, the administrators admired how wisely she had handled the situation. They also noticed that Perez, who was usually cold and intimidating, smiled warmly only when he was with Tia. Many of them quietly hoped that she would become Empress one day. Later, Vieze met his grandfather, hoping for sympathy. Instead, grandfather told him to leave the Lombardi mansion forever. He explained that he had already told Roulier to leave as well and that Vieze now had to find his own place to live. Vieze was shocked because he had lost his wife, his family, and his position. Vieze tried to defend himself and angrily blamed Tia. He complained that grandfather cared only about her and even insulted her by saying she had no right to lead the Lombardi family. He insisted that giving the family to Tia would ruin Lombardi's reputation. He remained calm. He asked Vieze where his wife Serral and his son Bellesac were. Vieze could not answer because he had been so busy drinking that he did not even know what had happened to them. Disappointed, grandfather called him pathetic for failing to care for his own family.
Grandfather then handed Vieze a letter written by Bellesac. It explained that Tia had secretly saved Bellesac's life after the Empress tried to have him murdered and make it look like suicide. Tia also found a safe home for both Serral and Bellesac so they could live peacefully. In the letter, Bellesac sincerely apologized to Tia and thanked her for protecting him despite everything that had happened. Reading the letter made Vieze realize how much Tia had done for his family while he had done nothing. Grandfather told him that Tia had shown the qualities of a true head of the family by protecting even relatives who had caused trouble. He said Lombardi would become even greater under her leadership and that Vieze would never have been a good family head. Finally, grandfather told Vieze that because of his mistakes, he no longer had the right to stay in the family. He ordered him to leave the Lombardi mansion before Tia officially became the new head. Vieze finally accepted that he had lost everything and quietly left. As Vieze walked away, grandfather called out one last time. Despite everything, he still cared for his son. His final words were simple: "Don't drink too much alcohol. Take care of your health." It was the last kindness a father could offer before saying goodbye. Tia had dinner with Crenny for the first time in a long time. Crenny happily talked about life at the academy and how everyone still admired Prince Perez. He was such a big fan of Perez that he was excited just because the prince remembered his name. Tia smiled and said she wished she had gone to the academy too because it sounded fun. The twins, joked around as usual. Mairon kept pouring wine for Crenny even though Crenny had a very low tolerance for alcohol. Tia stopped him from giving Crenny too much and reminded Mairon that he would have to carry Crenny home if he got drunk. The twins then talked about their future in the Knights of Lombardi. Gillieu wanted to become the commander, and the brothers started arguing playfully. While watching them, Crenny became quiet and looked sad. He admitted that he wished they could all stay together forever. He also said he missed Laranne. Tia guessed that her grandfather had already spoken with Crenny's father. Crenny confirmed that his parents planned to move the family to Ginefolk Street, meaning they would soon leave. Even though he accepted it, he still hoped Tia could come to his graduation ceremony. After drinking a little more wine, Crenny finally told Tia what had been on his mind. He asked why she had made him read so many books when they were younger. He explained that, after studying at the academy, he realized those lessons had prepared him well. But he also felt that his knowledge needed a purpose, so he thought carefully about what he wanted to do with his future. Crenny then made a heartfelt request. He said he wanted to dedicate his knowledge to Lombardi and help Tia after she became the head of the family. Tia happily accepted his offer. She admitted that she had educated him early because she had always hoped he would become someone she could trust with important responsibilities. She only asked one thing in return that he continue to be the top student until graduation. Crenny gladly promised.

@Introvert This is the highlight of the chapter

Spoiler!
The happy mood returned. The twins brought out more bottles of expensive wine to celebrate. Tia even chose the better bottle for them to open because she knew which one tasted best. She also told Crenny that they would soon be able to see Laranne again. Crenny smiled brightly, not knowing that it would become Tia's last memory of him from that night. At the same time, Prince Perez walked down into the prison dungeon. After the guards led him to a cell, he stood before the imprisoned Empress and calmly asked in a mocking tone, "Are you having a peaceful night, Empress?" Empress Ravini was locked in the deepest cell of a dark prison. She looked completely different from before. Her hair was messy, her clothes were dirty, and she had not been sleeping because rats kept crawling around the dungeon. Perez came to see her and mocked her fear. Ravini asked if he had come to kill her, but Perez said not yet. She proudly claimed she had done nothing wrong and that she had already paid too high a price. Perez reminded her that she had caused his mother's suffering and that her punishment was far from over. Perez then ordered the guards to bring in Astana. Astana had also been imprisoned, and he looked dirty, bruised, and terrified. When he saw his mother, he cried and ran to her. Ravini was furious that the guards had treated the First Prince so badly, but Perez calmly replied that he had full authority to investigate everyone involved in the rebellion. Perez gave Astana a choice. He told him that if he confessed that Ravini had ordered him to attack the Emperor, he would be released from prison and even be given good food. Ravini believed Astana would never accept such an offer because it did not even promise to save his life. To Ravini's shock, Astana immediately betrayed her. He stepped away from his mother and said everything was her fault. He blamed Ravini and the Angenas family for their greed and insisted he had nothing to do with their plans. He even called Perez his brother and begged to cooperate with him. Perez ignored him, knowing Astana was foolish enough to believe he would truly be safe after giving his confession. Astana happily left the dungeon, already thinking about the food he would receive.
After Astana left, Ravini completely broke down. She laughed and cried at the same time, unable to believe her own son had abandoned her. Then she tried to hurt Perez by saying that even if he became Emperor, he would never be able to live happily with Tia because revenge had already consumed his life. Ravini begged Perez to execute her instead of leaving her alive. However, Perez refused. He gave her an official paper stating that she was no longer Empress. She would spend the rest of her life imprisoned, forgotten by everyone. Perez told her that every day she would wonder if that would be the day someone poisoned her, murdered her, or left her to die alone. He wanted her to live in constant fear instead of receiving the quick release of execution. When Ravini desperately tried to attack Perez so he would kill her, the guards stopped her. Perez ordered them to tie her up and stop her from killing herself. Then he left the prison without looking back, while Ravini's screams echoed behind him. Later, Tia and Clerivan left the Angenas mansion together. Tia mentioned that she had not seen Perez for several days. Clerivan explained that Perez was extremely busy because the sick Emperor had entrusted him with handling all the Empire's important work. Tia realized that both she and Perez would become busier in the future, and they would not be able to spend as much time together. Although she understood this, it still made her heart ache. During the carriage ride back to the Lombardi estate, Clerivan finally brought up something he had wanted to discuss for a long time. He handed Tia the life contract he had signed when he founded the Pellet Company. Then he shocked her by asking her to cancel the contract because he wanted to resign from the Pellet Company. Tia was completely stunned by his unexpected request.
