@Kazooie And totally tank their rep? Give the Emporer free rein to go "Time for an investiagtion" and put hands on anything and everything? Smart.
@ZerroTheSmilingShadow ??? Have you not paid attention? The former Duke married FOUR times prior and each wife died, if that didn't prompt any sort of investigation then nothing will, what reputation?
@Kazooie But then, right now they're in a much more unstable situation with the duke's sudden death. So I believe it'd be a bad idea, and also it's never been easy to completely erase traces of a person from what I've seen/read until now
@Kazooie Cause back then, the current emperor wasn't the emperor and now he is and he sees the duchy as an enemy because of the first empress's daughter being the current Duchess and that the Duchy had supported the first prince.
