@Take My Money Precisely my issue. Giving someone everything is only admirable if they want it, if they don't then it's trampling their desires and forcing a burden on them under the guise of a gift. It seems like Louise just wants to live in peace with the Vadells, not be connected to the imperial family in any direct manner, and if that's the case, then Reans coming off less like a prince and more like a creepy encroacher.
