Like I understand the tension of enemies to lovers before, but it was toxic.
It wouldn't be good for either of them if they were romantically involved.
The female lead for one is traumatised. She's been put through the wringer this whole time. Almost being killed, death threats, grave injuries, seeing dead people, her loved ones lives threatened, being stalked, being physically assaulted and kissed against her will. +Being betrayed on several accounts.
It'd be difficult to develop genuine feelings.
Rather it'd be an attachment or bond that's developed through these near-death scenarios. Where the lesser evil, 'the vampire' is her lifeline admidst the chaos.
As for the male-lead. He also has deeply rooted trauma and this need for attachtment as a lonesome vampire. Mc being the only one that defies his expectations and intruiges him caused him to seek relations again, no matter how twisted it may've been. And he clung to it, desired it, although he contained himself on several accounts.
He craved her. Yet he still needs to grow emotionally/mentally/interlations before he can support a healthy relationship with her.
So I'm glad for this fresh start.
