Oh shii this manga is already connected to another one, I forgot the name but the main character of that manga was the former Empress Dowager's eldest daughter her first born who was married off to another kingdom and she too was also mistreated by her husband then a Duke came along, charmed her and she ended up relinquishing her seat as Empress (daughter) then she when on to have kids with the Duke... Now by no means was Empress Dowager ab easy person she was cold asf till towards the end of the manga when she had a heart to heart with the daughter, she ended up to grow soft as she doted on her grandkids as if to make up for never giving affection to her daughter (Also the reason why the daughter was married off was because she was next in line to be Empress but she loved fighting monsters and Empress Dowager didn't like this as it was not fit for a Royal lady and this created a rift between the two, that's why the daughter was married off)

@DELKIRA The name is, "I will surrender my position as the empress", but what do you mean that they're connected? Did you mean to say that they're similar?
That's an interesting way to recall the story though...I wasn't sure which story you were talking about at first, because you kept mentioning the Dowager, who hardly showed up in the main story. You didn't really list core plot points or events, so I wasn't sure at first lol.
