I wonder if he's a demon in disguise and if what he's doing will benefit the Demon King, and if Sora interfere it would be the same as putting the Demon King in harms way. It would be indirect, but what if it triggers the contract with Ignis?

@Praying Bisected Astronaut I don't know that but I am sure that Sora will just walk away unscratch, then he will walk his way to the demon king. The demon king possess a super power and will claim "No one can run away from me", only to see Sora leave at walking pace rendring the demon king power ineffective !
