so while they're going to war, the evil brother is supposed to attack their home. She'll do anything to prevent this and discover there is a spy among the house but will not be able to find who. The duchess, blonde bi*** and her will be abducted by her brother. While she'll be tortured by her ex maid, cliff will come to the rescue but he will only save his mom and blondie as well as capturing every bad guy (ex maid and the brother) and leaving her behind without even looking for her (worse they tell everyone she was in in the plan to abducted everyone). She'll be able to escape but she'll be tracked as a traitor and mentally broken so she'll be wallowing in her misery until they arrest her and bring her to be judged like in the original novel where she's supposed to die in killian's hand.
