@BeamO same here my stepfather used to punch me as a kid,and my mother used to leave long welts across my body with a metal studded belt (most of the time I was hit for some  stuff my sister made up, but this wasn't figured out till muccchh later,they simply figured my cute sister to be too cute to be so deceptively evil) it all stopped when I was bigger (taller than my stepfather, if not heavier) than them, my stepfather came to beat me blo*** for some nonsense, and I beat him, he called me disobedient my mother then came with the belt which I took from her and cut in half.
I have never been beaten since lol.
