Can someone explain to me why the heart rate is important at all? Now her reason for raising the heart rate is because blondie is threatening her, okay. But why is it so important to him that he wants to kill her? I feel like I missed something or the author wanted it to be a suspense type of sh** but failed and now it's just a confusing subplot that pops up at random times. Maybe if the heart rate thing was explained in detail at the beginning or earlier chapters, letting the reader know of the importance of it, I would give a cr**. But I don't.
