You fail to see how different you were from the original plot. He could tell you were training him, the original was basically trying to kill him. When you almost drowned him, he had no rage to fight you, he basically was like, my life is yours do with as you please.... so he accepted the drowning... but then you saved him and set him up for another task to get stronger. And he did. So he sought you out and you reject him openly. His life that was manipulated by you was thrown out. And he does not understand. And frankly I don't quite either. I get it now that he attacked your party, but before that, you rejected him for no good reason. Call him over for some tea time and talk things over. Otherwise your going to get kidnapped by him when he turns into a demon king
