idk why u guys think that taekyung help his stepmom when he only just know about it now after for years of him investigating, thought that heeseo's mom committed crime or got threatened to do it, but he got mind blown instead cause his stepmom is the one behind the incident. i know his behavior to heeseo kinda mean at some point, but his position is kinda complicated too. from the spoiler, i think he just want to protect heeseo so his mom not harm him if she ended up know about heeseo. so much misunderstanding in this story.
i feel like most of the characters have their good and bad side. i dont think taekyung is a bad bad character cause he still got a good reason to do it. Both heeseo and taekyung had a fuc*** up childhood memories so they can't communicate well.
@johnlurk31 I get ur point.But in next chap we will see that, he actually had some doubt that his mom might be the suspect, but chose to turn a blind eye and choose the adopted life he finally got.Thats why he feels guilty towards heeso.And we can also say that, the main reason he chose this career wasn't coz of the selfless intention to provide justice to the unfair death of Heeso's mom, but it was more for self consolation that the murderer isn't his mom, and he did nth wrong by turning a blind eye that time.I mean he was also a high schooler at that time, we can't blame him but it's to note that, his intentions and actions arent that pure and selfless, it's actually driven by guilt of turning a blind eye to the death of person who was good to him, and choosing his happiness.
yeah i've read the next chp and it confuse me cause he actually knew it before but he still shocked in this chp. I think rather than he turn blind eye to his stepmom, is more like he knew something fishy but he still doubt it cause he didn't had evidence atm also he's still a kid so he can't do that much of investigating. That's why he studied hard to be a prosecutor so he can investigate legally. He also straight up come to his stepmom and ask her to bring herself to the police cause he had the evidence now.
I know that he's feeling guilty for so many reasons. Feels bad for both of them.
But to blame all the negativity only to him is not fair. Both of them have their own mistakes, but both of them are not the real villain either.
