Well don't worry. It's going to be happy ending. But seems bit different to novel.

Edith was found by Cliffs guards and take back to the duchy. Killing was searching for her without sleep. After knowing she was arrested Killan goes to the duchy and find her in the execution site. With some question all get to know that Edith was treated badly by her family and imprison her without executing. That dumb bi*** (the blonde girl)try to kill Edith  but Edith was saved by Killan. That's the main part. She win the third drill without asking to save her life and begging Killan. The third task was wish for death. Pretty annoying right...
