Brett anxiety binging on carbs is so relatable π©π€π€. But i love how he is direct to Hayden that the thing that is causing him anxiety is the fact that he isn't putting a filter on his emotions and feelings anymore. He's allowing himself to want Hayden completely, he wants to be vulnerable for him, and there's all these fears and self-doubt that he hasn't really experienced before, because he's never been in love. He's never let anyone this close. He's kept just out of reach, and he realizes that if he wants to be with Hayden, he can't do that anymore. I think that's frightening for him.Β Kids who are forced to be adults too early, and don't feel unconditional love from their parents, struggle with authentic emotional connection later in their lives. And kids who are taught to mask, forget how to take that mask off because they're not taught how to feel safe without it. And he has that dream where the dead bird essentially symbolizes Brett's fears and insecurity about himself, about what he can offer Hayden, and the Hayden wolf just pushes that aside and tackles Brett. He only ever wanted Brett, just as he is.
