@NORTEX I've been thinking of it this way, 
different areas have different Critical hit values (multipliers), e.g. A critical hit to the chest could pierce the heart or just crack a rib, a critical hit to the head could cave in the skull or just cause a concussion, a critical hit to the neck could decapitate or pierce the throat. Each of these areas would account for a percentage of the total HP. Or something like that. So can a neck cut be a critical hit. e.g. You cut his neck for 3 pts. you go a critical x3 for 9 pts. total (it was a deep cut, LoL.) 
Can you imagine how tedious Boss Fights would be in this Author's world w/o critical hits? The Demon King had 1,000,000 HP
