Then, while standing only inches away from her, he quietly asks if she would like to officially become a couple with him. Deborah is completely surprised by the sudden confession. She is attracted to Isidor and thinks he is kind, handsome, and caring, but she feels it is too soon to start a relationship. She tells him that she wants to know him much better before becoming his girlfriend. Isidor is disappointed but understands her feelings. He asks if she is rejecting him or simply saying they should wait. Deborah explains that she is interested in him, but she believes a real relationship should be built after spending time together and learning about each other. She also reflects on her past life, where she often felt pressured to accept people's confessions even when she did not truly love them. Because of those experiences, she wants to be careful this time and only start a relationship if her feelings become genuine. Isidor immediately accepts her answer. Instead of pushing her, he agrees with her idea. He suggests that they keep meeting regularly, eat meals together, and slowly get to know each other. Deborah is relieved because he respects her wishes instead of forcing her to decide. So both of them agreed to slowly build their relationship, making it clear that they both have romantic feelings for each other, even though they are not officially a couple yet.
