I'm afraid we will never get a redemption arc because Dan just accepts everything Joo does. He would need to be angry or hurt in order for Joo to suffer... At this point if Joo confessed, they would just live "happily ever after" without ever addressing all the abuse because Dan doesn't even know how bad he has it. Starting to lose trust in the creator. :(
