@Bone Daddy actually you didn't rip it because that's not how paper works, especially cut from the middle.
Here is my low thought 4AM explanation.
So you have to have both hands at the top and slowly (or fastly?faster? Idk spelling) pull down one arm to rip it, but, how will it rip if there is a connection like a stapler keeping both pages together? That wouldn't work. Also I would doubt that is one peice/piece(idk) of paper because I would never stapler 2 papers from the middle you have to stapler from the top left corner.
Anyways, the stapler (staplings? Because there's probably more than one) would prevent that because they ARE made for keeping it together.
Now if it was like a newspaper, without staples, the only possible way to rip it would be to have both hands on top (as I Said earlier) and to quickly pull one hand downward, then you have a ripped piece/peice of paper.
BUT. here is where I deny that. Because, as you can see -->

Oh wait never mind it's holding from the top buy I'm right you're wrong so it was pulled from both sides and that isn't how paper works unless you slightly angle one side, also there shouldn't be paper pieces/peices on the table because 1 rip wouldn't do that it would have to have been destroyed
I don't know dont be angry for big response I was just stating facts because I have to
