@Eustass90 Law You could say that regardless of whether a country is communist, democratic, Islamist, or any other system, the army should always be kept away from politics.

The reason is simple:
The army exists to protect the nation, not to rule it.

When the military enters politics, power stops coming from the people or the constitution and starts coming from guns and force. This destroys accountability. Governments can be questioned, voted out, or criticized—but armies cannot be challenged the same way.

History shows that when armies gain political power:

Civilian voices are suppressed
Opposition is labeled as “anti-national”
Laws are enforced selectively
The country slowly turns authoritarian, even if it claims to follow democracy, religion, or ideology
This is true in communist states, religious states, and even democracies. The ideology changes, but the outcome is the same:
fear replaces debate, and force replaces law.

That’s why a healthy state—no matter its beliefs—keeps a strict separation between the military and political decision-making.
The army should defend borders, not decide policies.
Power should come from legitimacy, not weapons.
