I think I understand what happened- so the MC didn't make the call, what happened was that the old man recorded their call, and then showed it to him to prove that they had a deal and it wasn't just lies, now the MC stole his phone and checked who the ML called to see for himself. The MC had a more elaborate plan to get his revenge, and now he's made that he took everything away from him and made him suffer ig.
