With the attack from the enemy, she will swoop and "save" the numbers to make them owe her, thereby making them more "malleable" to her suggestion to join her fold and eliminate 001 (IJIN). If this becomes successful, this might drive a wedge between the NUMBERS and IJIN in the coming chapters.
@AnjeloXV If i remember correctly, Alice was working under Forest and she has a huge debt towards ijin. It's 003 that wants to recruit the number. Alice is just a mercenary that was controled because of her sick brother but now they are free and she wants to repay to ijin and the numbers.
@AnjeloXV wait. Wait. Alice and 003 are different. Alice is not part of the Numbers. She was part of the camp(?) but deflected from them because they used her sick brother to make her work for them. 003 is the bia*** you are thinking about. She has long silver hair.
But yeah, I kinda get your theory. If 003 planned this, then her plans to save them are foiled because in the end, Alice is the one who came first to their rescue.
@Perle22Diamond As I theorized, 003 planned to swoop in while the NUMBERS are pinned down. But Alice got there first. I think this is to repay the debt she owed for IJIN and the NUMBERS saving her brother. All the while, 003's plan might still work if the Merc's pile down on them. and 003 comes to the "rescue". Remember, her entire goal is to have the NUMBERS to join her and ultimately erase IJIN, she is unhinged and only wants 002 for herself.
I understand the confusion. Alice is different from 003; that is a fact. I am sorry if I was not able to articulate my theory better, as I wrote it right after I read the chapter. Thank you for giving the lost thought I missed in my previous post. If the story follows my theory, 003 initially planned to do the "rescue" to make the NUMBERS indebted to her. Unfortunately, ALICE swooped in first. But with the plot twist might still happen if the NUMBERS and ALICE encounter overwhelming force; 003 might still show up (you never know until the new chapter next week).
In any case, Alice is a welcome addition to the fold, she'll definitely provide some needed assistance in making sure the NUMBERS get out of this predicament alive. I just hope the Big Guy survives to kill bad guys and eat Korean Fried Chicken another day.
