there is food in the apocalypse, it hasn't even passed 2 weeks if you look carefully at the time of events in the manhua at least a week has passed, they can go to stores with a scout team and bring food. some things people ignore are slaughterhouse which has a lot of frozen meat. airport food transportation. a supermarket even going into the undead house they might still have canned food. school as well is a good place to find food. are u even doing any thinking? not to mention the zombie bodies are decaying what happens after they decay end of humanity??. and bro plants aren't going to be contaminated. they can find seeds and grow them. have u thought about fishing!! don't put that sentence "no food"
