For this arc which is looking for the Sacred Sword, Hei Chao, they went to a mountain where black mist shroud and not a living can survive but it’s a mystery that they found a village. It’s called Bai Xi Creek. Then the killings happened. After Xiao Yu died, they look for the cave to fight the sword and take it back so the misfortunes would end but they got transported to the past. It was Peipei’s past. Hei Chao is his brother his name but as what was revealed, he was just taking care of Peipei through Shu Xing’s wish. He went to a mountain where there is a village and merged with it so the village is now named Hei Chao (opposite to the current one). Then it was revealed that the people who are killed in the past are also killed in the present like a loop because Hei Chao was finally corrupted by Bai Xi. Bai Xi became in control of the physical body and merged with the village, now it’s called Bai Xi Creek. He is a blood thirsty glutton so he’d devour a family. (It was scene that Uncle Niu which was the head of the village and Aunt Li died in the present timeline again. They were killed before. Xiao Yu also died.
