After seeing what minwoo said about him pretending to be his friend, his actions make more sense even though he went about it HORRIBLY.. He is under the impression that his best friend only was his "friend" because he liked him and nothing more.  A lot of women go through this with men approaching them only with the intention of trying to date them and even settle for being friends when they initially fail or dont see an opening to confess right away.  But it's different with Skylar since he was his friend first and just happened to develop feelings recently.. This is also an issue with just developing feelings for friends in general.. it's an all around sticky situation that seems to rarely work out
