That's not the issue, their problem is that Linden would still want his revenge, so either they kill him while they still have the chance or they all die by Linden's hand. Plus it was alr mentioned that mil has no interest in the throne, but he has no choice to fight for something he doesn't want or else he and countless people that he cares for dies

And in the past life, Linden had seized the throne and killed Mil, his mother and his uncle. And Mil's trying to save them. Therefore it's kind of a all-or-nothing situation for both of them.

@dontmindmejustreadin Linden is the CROWN PRINCE. He 'seized' nothing, the throne is his rightfully HIS. Mil is the one who CHOSE to be a usurper, all to cover for his rotten maternal family who framed Linden's mother and sister. Linden has already told him many times to stand aside as he was never the target. But pigheaded Michael continues to assert that he will seize Linden's throne, for the sake of his evil mother and uncle.
