Why would the s e x part ruined it? Sorry but for me that part that you said it's a bit Homophobic. It's just 2 gay dude who respect e/o boundaries until they feel it's right time to do it when neither of them forced e/o to have s e x. Both feels it's the right time to do it after some years of dating. I think should know you must have least have s e x with significant other to somewhat maintain a good relationship or both might suffer from frustration
