I love how people of color are just called black.

Anyways, I think this manhwa could've been framed a lot better, but in a way I think I also found it new.

It's not to fetishize slavery, which, in case you don't know, bl readers often don't realize they do.
I think the author JAXXX, as a decent author, must've done deep research on this topic, considering the level on sensitivity of this topic.
Do you have to be a person of color to have an opinion on it?
No, anyone can have that.
I could say this could've been a great chance to look back at the past.
Considering history is often overlooked.
But, people are offended because....
They think the author will fetishize the trope,
Which I must ask, why do you think that?
Then why aren't manhwas like Jinx, Codename Anastasia, Passion, Roses and champagne, or any latest manhwa you read not being cancelled?
It has rape, it also has a lot of things that should raise concern, yet, we as people read them?
Mostly because people have romanticized these tropes, and a smaller majority may have read the novels of the said manhwas and know what comes next.
I'd not say I agree or disagree, but if you're offended, that's fine.
But one thing is that threatening an author is not needed; learn boundaries, please.
