I love isekai and everything about it but this has always stayed one of my favourite mangas no matter how many I've read. It starts as the stereotypical, no plot, no depth mangas but a soon as you get into it it is so good!! The way the characters are portrayed is a lovely change to this trend.
(I won't write anymore because I feel like I will spoil the whole manga.)
Also don't go into this manga thinking it'll go too deep into the angst, that's not what you're there for, you're there for the devoted Demon Lord and his lovingly manly wife.
The illustrations were beautiful, the color was well shaded and the designs and realism (as far as anime and manga goes - and really, I don't want it to go any further. I love these style, that's why I'm reading manga and not words) of the images were good quality.
Often times, with colored mangas, the saturation will change or the image will blur - the image quality remained pretty constant here, that helped with comprehension of the story through both sights and the speech.
The storyline fit pretty well, however the actual scenes with 'Snipper' were lessened later in the story. Which is unfortunate, as the "assassin sniper" was one of the most exciting traits of Joachim. Nevertheless, the story was satisfactory in the end.
The translations were well made, placed, and accurate - the grammar made sense all time through. Which, with many long mangas, you don't see. This may be one of the story's best qualities, (In my opinion).
The characters were good, and I personally liked Juergen's actions of possessive quality traits. That is just my preference. There were many sexual scenes, which isn't bad, but there were less "fluff" scenes to show the love and devotion between the two. It was blatantly obvious the two were in love, the viewers know this because we can see the thoughts and private speeches - it took a little longer for the characters to find out, themselves, though.
The ending did feel a bit rushed, and Joachim did have a sudden change of choice - with little reason (in the moment) to decide differently, which only brought him a fight with a large reptile. But the ending was fairly well-done, so everything was alright.
Jurgern's thoughts throughout the entire story were shown in the epilogue, a unique thing in the manga world - that is a good quality of the story.
For what the story lacked in some qualities, it made up for in others - this will be one of the pieces that I'm sure will be enjoyed by many. Thank you muchly Authors, Translators, and Illustrators, for making this story.
