I see the argument of the difference between medicine and poison is dosage coming on.good case for this is warfarin which is a blood pressure medicine if I remember correctly, but it got its start as a rat poison. It causes the blood to thin and at higher dosages it will cause you to bleed internally and even from your eyes and such.

@TotallyAbsurd yeah why would you keep someone around who is a detriment to yourself or whose relation to you provides no value to you? How would you connect to that person or establish a meaningful relationship? If you and another person have a superficial relationship that relationship doesn't benefit either of you and would come off as fake and existing only due to social obligation. All social interactions are a trade. That trade could be deep and meaningful, superficial, or a detriment to one or more parties involved. We much therefore evaluate our relationships and determine which ones bring us positive impacts and which are negative and adjust them as we deem them so. That's how we build healthy relationships or get trapped in self destructive patterns.

His power is time right? Red Witch and an Emperor who can manipulate time. What if she was sent back to deal with the ambush that would have killed her father and she is the Red Witch? Everyone that knows the Red Witch thinks she is her daughter, but if she is the Red Witch it would have been an older her. The fighting style she just learned is from a foreign country and therefore different than their style explaining why they were confused by the injuries of the soldiers. She refused to join their military. She was sent back with a specific mission so she couldn't join their military due to that restriction and a limited time in the past. It could also explain the marriage that came from nowhere since they could have brought it from the future and placed it in the past to force their meeting.
Not sure how you would classify her family as weak. Doesn't her father commander one of the strongest units in the nations military and is a war hero?

@Golden you don't have to empathize with someone who plans to force another person into a marriage and sexual relationship because it makes their life easier.
You don't have to empathize with people who support a tyrant who is willing to murder his own children for power. They are just enabling and will probably continue the behaviors because that is how it was done in the past to justify it's continuation.
